About UK Stats
UK Stats is an independent, non-partisan website that presents official UK public statistics in a clear and accessible format.
Why we built it
Official statistics are often buried inside government PDFs, surrounded by caveats, or presented without useful context. Our goal is to surface the numbers that matter — and only those numbers — without spin, commentary, or political framing.
What we publish
Every statistic on UK Stats comes from a named official source — primarily the Office for National Statistics (ONS), but also NHS England, the Department for Education, HM Land Registry, and other accredited UK statistical bodies.
We do not commission original research. We do not adjust or re-weight data. We present official figures as published, with full source attribution.
Editorial principles
- Accuracy over speed. We update figures when we can verify the source has published new data.
- No spin. We do not frame statistics as "good" or "bad". We present the number, its unit, and its context.
- Full transparency. Every stat page links to the primary source. Methodology notes explain how the figure is measured.
- Accessibility. All charts have data table equivalents. The site meets WCAG 2.1 AA.
Who we are
UK Stats is run by a small team of developers and data enthusiasts. We are not affiliated with the UK government, ONS, or any political organisation.
